Dan Stewart and author Molly IdleCouncilman Dan Stewart welcomed children's book author and illustrator Molly Idle to Henderson’s Paseo Verde Library for an Apple Partnership reading event. Councilman Stewart presented Idle with a key to the city before she delivered a talk on learning to draw and how she began writing and illustrating books for kids after working at Dreamworks films. The Apple partnership is a joint effort between the City of Henderson and the Clark County School District and its mission is to promote student literacy and a love of reading. The name Apple in the partnership’s title is actually an acronym that stands for All People Promoting Literacy Efforts. Henderson Libraries hosts events with the Apple Partnership including sessions with authors who share their writings with young readers.
