Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred early this morning after a man was struck and killed while walking on Boulder Highway near Water Street. 
 
The man walked into the travel lane of Boulder Highway when he was struck around 3:30 a.m. by a southbound 1996 Dodge Ram, driven by 39-year-old Cleveland Haddicks. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was in the roadway outside a marked crosswalk and died at the scene.

Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.

The roadway was closed for about three hours while fatal crash investigators conducted their investigation.

The name of the man will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The man’s death is the tenth traffic accident related fatality investigated this year.
